Ingredients:

700 ml of whole milk;

40 g cornstarch;

150 g of sugar;

2 egg yolks;

1 vanilla pod;

400 ml of whipping cream;

3 tablespoons of Zero Strawberry Jam;

Preparation:

1. In a bowl, place 100 ml of milk, the egg yolks, the sugar and the cornstarch. Using a hand blender, blend everything very well and set aside.

2. In a saucepan, heat the remaining milk with the previously opened and scraped vanilla pod. Stir continuously until it starts to boil. Add the boiled milk to the mixture of egg yolks, sugar and cornstarch and heat again, stirring constantly until it thickens.

3. Turn off the heat and place the cream in a large container, smoothing the surface very well. Cover the surface of the cream tightly with cling film and refrigerate for 3 hours, leaving it to cool completely.

4. While the cream cools, in a bowl, beat the cream until it reaches a consistent consistency and add the cold cream.

5. Place half of the mixture in a baking tray lined with baking paper. Place spoonfuls of Strawberry Zero jam on top and cover with the remaining cream. Cover everything again with cling film and place in the freezer.

6. Every 30 minutes, using a spatula or knife, stir the ice cream to prevent ice crystals from forming during the first 3 hours. After this period, let it freeze completely. Remove the ice cream from the freezer about 5 minutes before serving and add toppings of your choice, such as dried fruit, fresh fruit or sweet fruit.
